Crowlers
You've probably heard from it; crowlers. If not, we're happy to introduce you!
A crowler is a can filled with beer from a keg. Some beers only gets filled into kegs and therefore you can only drink them at your local bar or at a beer festival. With crowlers you can enjoy those beers at home, from a can! Recently we bought a crowler station and this way we can give you the chance to taste these beers at home.
We work with a crowler station also used in breweries. This one features a CO2 purger. We fill an empty can with CO2, this ensures that no oxygen enters the can during filling. This part is very important and enhances the lifespan of the beer and avoids oxidation.
Shelf life
We give our crowlers a shelf life of six weeks after canning. It is possible that the quality of the beer will decrease after that period, especially with IPA's and other beers with loads of hops. We have tested a lot and the shelf life of stouts will be longer than six weeks. We even tested our own crowlers that were in transit for weeks and believe that longer shipping periods are not a huge problem, but the beers won't get better by longer shipping periods of course. Please decide for yourself if you would like to take this little risk :-)
Protected Beer Type
Our crowlers are recognizable by our own designed labels. An extra small label on the can includes which beer is in the crowler and when it has been filled. The label also carries a Beerdome quality mark: 'Protected Beer type'. Beerdome fulfills the wish of beer lovers to discover new and rare beers again and again. We then 'protect' them under our 'dome'. Our beers are for winners, treasure hunters and fans of taste sensations (see our own colorful labels ;-)). That is why we characterize our exclusive crowlers with our own quality mark.
